Swedish Match conducted an internal prestudy in spring 2013 and clearly established that better maintenance was needed in order to improve production. It came forth that there were many differences between the sites and a common maintenance strategy and system support were needed. Swedish Match looked for a supplier with a global capacity that could handle both systems and operations. They had several systems and suppliers to choose from when making the important decision on system support and operational development for their maintenance operations. After an extensive selection process, Enfo Framsteg was chosen after ultimately being deemed to have the most attractive offering. Swedish Match will grow with new sites and acquisitions and wants faster ROI on them.
Swedish Match chose one of Enfo Framsteg’s prepackaged Maximo systems since we were able to present strong references and our offering was close to operations. The risk for Swedish Match was reduced in terms of both implementation time and cost by their choice of our prepackaged Maximo system. The project will get started immediately and IBM Maximo Asset Management will be in place in 2014. The first step is for representatives from Enfo Framsteg and Swedish Match to have a joint maintenance seminar to properly analyze the present situation and stake out the road ahead and ensure that Swedish Match will get the maximum value from its investment in Maximo Asset Management.
We had a very good impression of Enfo Framsteg and have entrusted them to develop our maintenance operations and implement system support. Enfo Framsteg’s packaged services and products meet our needs well and we also see the knowledge and best practices they offer us as a major added value,” says Mattias Wermé, Global Project Manager at Swedish Match.
By Swedish Match choosing Enfo Framsteg’s prepackaged Maximo system, the project will quickly be under way and the customer benefits from our concept All the way to value with their investment, since we have created a Best Practice based on our extensive operational experience and system know-how. Today, Swedish Match has several different local maintenance systems and is now receiving a common maintenance system for its maintenance operations. “It will be incredibly exciting to work with Swedish Match and they will definitely become one of our key customers. It is extremely important to agree on the present situation and have a shared, clear vision for what the operations should achieve. The fact that we at Enfo Framsteg have developed a number of packaged solutions that contain processes, key indicators and system support means that we can really offer the right solution for Swedish Match,” says Henrik Nyström, Business Area Manager at Enfo Framsteg.
